Virtual Breakfast Mornings are networking and best practice sharing events, exclusively for members of Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire. Attendees have the chance to learn best practice from 3 hosting speakers, followed by a 30-minute round table discussion on relevant topics.
The speakers for this event were 3 business leaders at leading firms: Jim Mangan (CEO at Sempre Group), David Burck (International Director at Amco) and Pam Jackson (Director at Siddall & Hilton).
Jim Mangan, CEO at Sempre Group, discussed Harnessing the Power of Industry 4.0. Jim spoke with attendees about the company’s best practice when it comes to connecting metrology with manufacturing to increase productivity and demonstrate compliance. Jim also went through what is required for preparation and how Sempre automates measuring tasks using up to date technology.
David Burck International Director at Amco, next discussed Customs Processes & Specialist Transport Movements best practice. David covered the changes to supply chains from Brexit, the ‘Just in time’ solutions for UK clients, and the differences in the free trade agreement vs the trade agreement the UK has with the EU.
Pam Jackson, Director at Siddall & Hilton, then discussed Sustainability. Pam spoke about how the company is using new digital technologies to improve sustainability by optimising operational efficiencies through monitoring and measuring manufacturing processes.
